My Story

How did I make it to where I am today?

Going waaaayyyy back, I started in a high school class of 72 students in Defiance, Ohio and graduated with honors in 1993 from Tinora High School.  I then attended Bowling Green State University thinking that I was going to become a physical therapist, but after spending a year studying abroad in Salzburg, Austria, I came home deciding that I would graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition.  This degree took me to the University of Michigan for my internship program to become a Registered Dietitian.  I worked at the University of Michigan as a registered dietitian in the Bone Marrow Transplant unit for 3 years and this is where I first learned about the Physician Assistant Profession.  I quickly applied to the Wayne State University, Masters of Science Physician Assistant Program, and graduated in 2003.  My husband and I moved to Punta Gorda in 2004 and started our careers.  My first job was in Obstetrics and Gynecology, which was my passion, but after taking time off to raise our children, I decided to change paths and pursue aesthetics and dermatology.  After extensive training in aesthetics and injectables and working in dermatology/aesthetics, I am happy to pursue my own new adventure with Sure Radiance.
